Fruit flies are type of peculiar creatures. Whenever they invade ones house or some place it seems very difficult to get rid of them. Fruit flies can be found very easily in homes, restaurants, supermarkets and any place where cooked or raw food is present.

The easy ways to deal with fruit flies are disposing of fruits, vegetables and other foods before they become overripe, store cooked foods covered and appropriately; seal all stored foods in containers with air-tight lids. When these flies become nuisance for you the following ways can help you to get rid of it. Here are some effective ways to get rid of fruit flies and to keep those flying monsters away for good.

Get rid of fruit flies

Fruit flies are commonly associated with fermenting fruits and vegetables. They easily develop near the over-ripe fruits or in the bottom of garbage cans, in dirty mop, or on rotting potato or onion in the vegetable bin. You can use a fly machine and aerosols to get rid of fruit flies.

Get rid of fruit flies with a soda bottle trap

Remove the lid and label from a clean and empty plastic two-liter soda bottle. Now, carefully remove the upper third of the bottle by cutting along its circumference at approximately where the top of the label used to be. Put an attractive liquid such as orange juice or cider vinegar in the cup-shaped part of the now-severed bottle.

Fruit flies love dumpsters

If you live near or next to a dumpster, you should keep all the entrance areas sealed. Also, make sure the dumpster's lid closes correctly.
